Why can’t members buy yet?
Booking and online selling are two different switches. Members can book once you’re live, but buying online needs Stripe connected and a priced, published plan.
Going live opens your studio for bookings — members can find you and reserve a spot. Selling memberships and passes online is a separate switch, and it needs two more things in place.
What online selling needs
- Stripe connected. Until your merchant account is ready, there’s no way to take a card online. See Connect Stripe & get paid.
- A priced, published plan. A plan with no price can’t be sold. Give at least one plan a price and publish it.
This is why you can be “open for bookings — connect Stripe to sell memberships and passes online.” Booking works; online checkout is waiting on Stripe and a priced plan.
Set a price and publish
- Open your catalog and pick the plan you want to sell.
- Give it a price. Plans can be left unpriced on purpose (for example, a plan you sell in person only) — those simply won’t appear for online purchase.
- Publish it. Once Stripe is connected and the plan is priced and published, members can buy it online.
Intro offers
If you want a first-time deal, an intro offer is a plan a customer can buy once. It follows the same rule — it needs a price and Stripe connected to sell online.
