Set provider availability (no open times?)

Appointments show no open times until a provider has real hours set. Fix the chain: add a service, assign a provider, set weekly hours, and confirm.

If your studio takes appointments and members see “No open times,” it means a provider has no bookable hours yet — so there’s nothing to book. This is the most common appointment gotcha, and it’s a required step before you can go live. Here’s the whole chain.

The fix, in order

  1. Add a service. Providers only appear once they’re assigned to a service, so a service comes first.
  2. Assign a provider. Attach the staff member who performs it. They now show up under Staff availability.
  3. Set weekly hours. Open Staff availability, pick the provider, and set the hours members can book.
  4. Confirm. This is the step people miss — see the note below.

We pre-fill a default week of hours to save you time, but we won’t publish hours nobody has confirmed. Edit the pre-filled hours to match what the provider actually works, then confirm them — otherwise members still can’t book.

When it’s working, saving shows about how many open slots exist over the next two weeks. If it says the provider has no open times yet, members still can’t book them — go back and set (and confirm) real hours.

Because unbookable staff means zero appointments, provider availability is a hard go-live gate for appointment studios — you can’t open until at least one provider has confirmed hours.
